Sweet Conversation Hearts

Yesterday I mentioned one Soft Pastels techniques that I forgot to show in the video. I promised that I would show you this technique in another video. When I saw this demonstrated I knew I wanted to get the Sweet Conversations stamp set to give this a whirl.

This technique makes the hearts stamped and colored with a mixture of Craft White re-inker and a bit of the Soft Pastels, look just like the conversation hearts in the little boxes we probably got as a child during Valentine's.

When you do this technique it covers up the sentiment that is stamped, inside the heart. If you would like to have the sentiment, you could try to restamp free hand, but I used my Stamparatus. I stamped the initial images, with the stamparatus. Leaving the cardstock in the Stamparatus, I colored the hearts with the White Craft ink mixed with a bit of the Soft Pastels. After the hearts dried I then restamped the hearts with the Memento Black again.

I also used the negative pieces from the heart strip in the background and then took the hearts that were stamped out and popped them up with Mini Dimensionals and put them inside the negative strip.

I embellished with the Artistry Blooms sequins and the Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon.

Here's today's video.

Here are the supplies that I used:

I hope that you enjoy this technique. I'd love to hear if you give any of these a try.

Thank you for stopping buy!
