Baseball Birthday

This week my middle grandson turns 12. JJ is not really a baseball fan, he's a die hard birder. Ask him any question about birds and he'll know the answer. He has his own binoculars and field guide that he takes notes in and keeps a watchful eye on his bird feeders in the yard as well as when they go on walks. They just moved from an urban area, to another "urban" area but this house is surrounded by all kinds of wildlife on 3 acres. They have a deer family that visits daily. They have even named the fawns, George & Fred.

So even though he's not a baseball fan, thought this card would be age appropriate, since he's almost a teenager.

I love two the two retired sets used here. I've used the "Hat Builder" dies that coordinated with the "Hats Off" stamp set and also the May 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit, "Batter Up".

I had packed away my cards from the Paper Pumpkin kit(in preparation for a move), so I used a Heart & Home Memories & More card for the striped base. The colors are Real Red and Misty Moonlight. I also used the Playful Alphabet dies for the numbers on the hat, his age.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Misty Moonlight. The cap is from the "Batter Up" Paper Pumpkin kit and the sentiment is from the "A Grand Kid" stamp set.

I hope he likes it. If you like it too I would love to read your comments and as always feel free to post your creations on my Facebook Group Page "Cottage Lane Stamper & Friends" , where I post most of my news.

Have a blessed day!
