Fun In The Sun & Sailing Away!
I bought the Sailboat punch, featured in today's card, but with a different purpose in mind. When I got my July 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit "Fun In The Sun" was inspired to do something different with it, after seeing a post on the FB Paper Pumpkin Fan page.
I put the sailboat inside this card, which is a fun fold, called Popup Slider card so it would really get your attention! :-) I made a few of these slider cards and you can get the directions here, on my previous post. https://www.cottagelanestamper.com/single-post/fun-in-the-sun-popup-slider-card . It's a lot of fun to make.
I love to be able to use up my scraps of paper and in this case I used 1/8" strips of Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, Azure Afternoon and Daffodil delight and glued them to one of the sails. I'm not familiar with sailboats so I may have gotten the sail configuration wrong. Forgive this landlubber.
Here's the video:
After I had finished my video I decided that that front needed a little more oomph! So I took one of the other parts for the "Fun In The Sun" Paper Pumpkin kit and fussy cut a sailboat out and added it to the front.
And of course I needed to jazz up the top, of the inside! I'll add a sentiment to the crabs claws later. I love how Paper Pumpkin even put little slit marks in his claws to add a sentiment label!
In actuality this was a pretty simple card to make, especially with all the parts from the Paper Pumpkin kit. I'm sure you could even step it up a little more with some dry embossing of the water, and some sponging. Let me know if you give this a try and share photos of your creation on my Facebook page: Cottage Lane Stamper & Friends!
