Easy Slim Line Card with Envelope Liner

I've seen a few Slim Line cards lately and Stampin' Up! used to carry the cards and envelope sets in our last catalog, but they were discontinued. Then I noticed a few of these in the 2021 July - December Mini catalog. I was a little disappointed when I contact Stampin' Up! about them showing up in the catalog but the they weren't available. She suggested that I make my own. To be fair the samples in the catalog were made out of colored cardstock, but you would need to make your own envelope, which is fine if you still have and envelope punch board. Not everyone does. So, I run into a minor bump in the road like that I try to get around it.

I came up with this Slim Line card that uses a standard A10 business size envelope and created a liner, since my envelope have the security pattern inside. I patterned it after the card on page 23 of the Mini catalog. Mine is a little longer.

The card base measures 7" x 8-1/2" and is scored at 3-1/2" on the 7" side. The DSP panels are 3-3/8" x 8-3/8 (Basic Gray #121004 and the Beautifully Penned DSP layer is 3-1/8" x 8-1/8" , which is FREE with a $50 qualifying purchase in the 2021 August - September Sale-a-bration (SAB) catalog. It coordinates with the Hand Penned Suite in the Annual Catalog.

If I have the time I will create a shorter version and an envelope template that I will make available on my Digital Downloads. In the meantime, here's my video.

I also made a card using the same papers in our standard A2 card size. It's similar to the Sympathy card I made a couple days ago.

Thank you for stopping in!
